The leading international general insurer, Royal Sun Alliance (RSA), required our experienced team to deliver the high-end CAT ‘A’ and ‘B’ fit out of its new office space. RSA prides itself on constantly innovating and improving, this was reflected within the design of its new modern space on the 3rd floor of 191 West George Street, Glasgow.

The client’s aspirations for the project were to create a collaborative and stimulating workplace. We had the expert skills and knowledge to deliver the exciting scheme to the highest quality.

The Project

In 8build’s first project for RSA we converted an existing CAT ‘A’ office space into a bespoke CAT ‘B’ facility utilising their new design roll out for their national refurbishment programme. Taking responsibility for the design of the MEPH systems we dovetailed the requirements of the building services into the new general arrangements ensuring a fully operational office on completion and high functioning comms room, fundamental to RSA’s business.

The fit out provided new cellular offices, meeting rooms, break out spaces, UPS and DSR rooms and front of house meeting areas that welcomed clients adorned with a living “moss wall”. The 3rd floor of 191 West George Street, Glasgow was transformed in 12 weeks and accommodated RSA’s move programme and follow-on trades seamlessly enabling their required “go live” date.
