The award-winning, global provider of marketing solutions, IPG Mediabrands required an innovative, future-fit flagship London office within the Grade II Listed building, The Old Bailey.
All eight floors have been gutted to make the building sustainable and future-fit, and we are bringing people together, whether they are on-location or working remotely. Our expert team were appointed to carry out the CAT ‘B’ fit out of lower ground and floors 2 to 8. The collaborative design of the project stands as a manifestation of the ‘open culture’ ethos – built around transparency and inclusion – that IPG Mediabrands prides itself upon.

The Project
The works on the Lower Ground Floor included the creation of town hall space for hosting large events with a number of back of house amenities such as storerooms, multi-faith and mother’s room together with a photography studio and informal breakout spaces.
Levels 2-6 formed typical working floors which included a mixture of open plan working spaces, various size meeting rooms, tea point and breakout spaces. Level 7 was the centre for informal breakout space and a servery/dining/café area. Finally, level 8 formed Client meeting spaces including a boardroom, various sized meeting rooms and a pitch area.
Considered Logistics
We produced a well investigated logistics plan with a key focus on the management of material deliveries. Due to the restricted size of the goods lift, materials had to delivered on a ‘just in time basis’ and were staggered to ensure safe movement and storage
Quality Installation
Applying our experience with fast-track programmes, we would never compromise the quality of the installation. Our team introduced a hold point check system throughout the construction process for continual and progressive snagging. This saved valuable time at the end of the project as snags were completed throughout; the system was well received by the client.
