The Project
Some buildings are defined as much by how they are delivered as how they are designed. At 80 Charlotte Street, our expert team delivered a high-quality workplace in the heart of Fitzrovia, working closely with Gensler to bring forward a space shaped around clarity, precision and everyday experience. What sits behind it is a simple idea carried through with care – that good workplaces should feel effortless to occupy, even when they are complex to deliver.
A Coordinated Way of Building
From the outset, the focus was on absolute coordination across every element of the fit out. In a workplace of this nature, structure, services and finishes must align seamlessly to support both performance and presentation. Working closely with the design team and specialist supply chain, we helped ensure that key decisions were aligned early, reducing risk and maintaining certainty as the project progressed. It is a disciplined approach, but one that is essential in environments where detail matters. When coordination is right, complexity is contained and delivery becomes controlled.
Precision in Every Detail
As the space developed, attention naturally shifted to detail and finish quality. Material transitions, junctions and interfaces were carefully resolved to achieve a consistent level of refinement throughout. The emphasis was on creating a workplace that feels calm and composed, supporting both client-facing areas and more private, focused workspaces. Nothing overstated. Nothing unnecessary. Just a consistent level of control across every surface and space.
Delivering in a Live City Context
Delivering a high specification fit out in central London always requires careful planning and sequencing. Access constraints, tight programme requirements and the need to maintain quality across all trades demanded close coordination on site. Working collaboratively with the full team, we ensured that challenges were addressed early and resolved without compromising intent. This approach allowed the design vision to be delivered with accuracy and confidence.
This has been one of the best projects to work on, due in no small part to the 8build Team.
