TP2 Tavistock Place shortlisted for the AJ Architecture Awards 2023!

We are pleased to announce LSHTM is a contender in the Higher Education category! We had the unique opportunity to transform a former milk depot shed into a hub for cutting-edge health research. The purpose-built six-storey building greatly enhances LSHTM’s ability to carry out crucial research in global health and train the next generation of health leaders. Externally, an innovative ‘Blue-Roof’ technology water conservation system was installed including carefully designed interfaces with the main façade. Technically challenging, special feature fins bracketed off the structure with bespoke ‘folding louvre’ details providing privacy from surrounding neighbours.

Having already been a finalist for the Schuco Excellence Award for Health Culture and Leisure 2023, we’re delighted that TP2 Tavistock Place has also been recognised by AJ Architecture, an organisation that celebrates design excellence in UK architecture, highlighting the very best projects across 17+ categories from housing, health, and wellbeing to workplace and cultural projects.

This legacy project for 8build demonstrates a masterclass in construction and highlights what can be achieved through team collaboration to deliver a remarkable project.
